Measure the circumference of your knee joint with your leg extended and your muscles relaxed.

Measure around the middle of your kneecap (at the patella) and around the thickest part of your calf. If your calf is more than 4cm larger than your knee, you may want to go up one size to ensure a good fit.

If you are new to wearing knee sleeves, we recommend choosing the size given in the table rather than sizing down, particularly if you are a size M or smaller.

Choosing the right one

Measure the circumference of your knee over the patella with your leg extended but relaxed.
Measure the circumference at the widest part of your calf with your leg extended but relaxed.
Use the larger of the two values to determine your size from the table.

Knee sleeves in the regular fit already sit close to the leg. If you are new to wearing knee sleeves, we recommend choosing the size given in the table rather than sizing down, particularly if you are a size M or smaller.

Care & cleaning

We recommend cleaning your knee sleeves by hand with water or a mild detergent (a specialist neoprene wash if you have one). Then leave the knee sleeves to air dry.

The spin cycle of a washing machine can damage the knee sleeves, as they become quite bulky when wet and may catch or be damaged by wringing. The high heat of a washing machine or dryer breaks down the rubber in the knee sleeves, which can lead to shrinkage or brittleness.

What is the difference between the SBD Knee Sleeves, the SBD Weightlifting Knee Sleeves and the SBD Powerlifting Knee Sleeves?

Can I also use the weightlifting knee sleeves for powerlifting and heavy strength training?

Although this product was developed specifically for weightlifters, the knee sleeves are also ideal for strength athletes who prefer a slightly shorter sleeve, or who want knee sleeves that are easier to put on and offer less support for lighter training sessions.
